I’m not sure about you guys but after Easter I like to take down all of the Easter decor and start with a clean slate. In the last year I’ve learned my design style is clean, simple and timeless. That said, I started thinking about my kitchen table setting that would last from the end of April until early June.
The decision was made when I stumbled across these lemon salad plates. I thought they would be perfect for this time of year. These plates are a simple and classic design. I found these online and while I was pretty sure these were the perfect plates I looked at some more websites to see if I liked anything better. After looking online I didn’t see anything that caught my eye like the lemon salad plates. I went to my local Pier 1 store and purchased the plates and found these cloth napkins. I thought these cloth napkins were a fun accent to pair with the lemon salad plates.
A few months ago I purchased these Water Hyacinth placemats from Pottery Barn and they are my absolute favorite! I love that they can used year round and are very easy to design around. The white dinner plates are also from Pottery Barn and are from their Caterer’s line of dinnerware. These have been great everyday staples in our home. They are easy to clean and can be hand washed or put in the dishwasher. The centerpiece is a vase I’ve had for a little while that is from IKEA. The flowers I purchased from Publix (a grocery store chain). I love to add fresh flowers this time of year to my table. Fresh flowers just round everything out and smell amazing! I know some people don’t like the hassle of having to buy fresh flowers every week so you can also fill your vase with artificial flowers. There are some great artificial stems I’ve seen at Hobby Lobby. Another consideration would be the Hearth and Hand line at Target and sometimes even Amazon has some good finds.
Lastly, another option is to fill a vase or even a bowl with lemons and limes. Again, if you don’t want to purchase any fresh fruits for this type of centerpiece you can also purchase artificial lemons and limes as well.
Do you have any plans for setting your table for the spring or even summer? I’d love to hear your ideas!
